About the Artist ~ Russell Cobane Born in Michigan in 1946, Artist Russell Cobane has dedicated a lifetime to the perfection of his awesome talent. He began in his youth as a landscape painter and spent many hours camping and fishing. In his 30's he worked as a prominent commercial illustrator with a Madison Avenue rep and was featured for many years in both the creative Black Book, and Showcase, the "Who's Who" of prominent commercial artists. His love of plants and nature called to his soul, and in 1984, he began two realize his dream of painting nature subjects. About the Artist ~ Margaret Cobane Margaret Cobane displayed her artistic talent from a very young age, and is an accomplished sculptor, artist and designer. She grew up in Southeast Michigan. The whimsical characters she creates in her ornaments and paintings reflect her inner heart. "They live in my happy inner world. In life I have learned I can survive adversity and I came to see that God has carried me through each and every one of those events unharmed, and that has strengthened me," she says of her work and faith.
